Pro Staff

John Morlidge
RFTC Head Pro for the over 25 years, John has also been Head Pro at the Tennis and Fitness Center of Oak Park for over 30 years. He has been Head Coach, OPRFHS boys’ and girls’ tennis teams since 1986.

Alex Bryn
From Paris, France, Alex starred at Ball State University, winning two conference championships. He has taught tennis for 10 years and is Assistant Tennis Coach at Concordia University.

Amanda Nunez
Amanda is a formerly nationally ranked junior player who attended Trinity High School. She played 1st singles on her Division II team in Iowa. Amanda has over 7 years of teaching experience, is USTA certified, and is the director of the Junior Tennis Program.

Cameron Uslander
A former player on the OPRFHS tennis team, Cameron worked part-time at RFTC in 2013 and 2014 and also taught at the Oak Park Country Club the past five seasons. He is a student at Tufts University.

Gino Viele
Gino grew up training at Bolleteri Academy, where he honed his competitive tennis skills. Gino comes to RFTC with tour experience that gives him a unique perspective to share with our upcoming tennis competitiors. He has taught full time in Arizona, Peoria, and at the tennis and fitness center in Oak Park. Gino’s versatile style is effective with young kids and adults.

Adult Lessons & Drills Open to the Public

We offer a variety of men’s and women’s tennis instruction programs beginning in late May. Two-day camps and an abundance of drills run from May to August.  Schedules are published in mid-May.

Member Programs

Private and Semi-private lessons and drills are available for adult members on days, evenings and weekends to accommodate everyone’s schedules.

Junior Tennis Program

We offer “JT” instruction for children ages 7-18 running from mid-June through late July. The program is run by our tennis professionals and instructors and is meant to build skills and competitive play, while having fun. The program is organized by age group and skill level and includes youth tournaments, leagues and competitive match play. Participants are rewarded with prizes, pizza parties, and other incentives for learning and improving their game.

Tennis Attire

All white tennis attire is required. Colored accents are acceptable if they cover no more than 10% of the outfit. Shoes, socks and headgear must be all white. (Before June 1 and after September 1, colored warm-ups are allowed to be worn over all-white tennis attire.)
