Thanks for being patient as we figure out how to make summer camps work this summer. Session 2 will be held July 6 - August 14. Registrations WILL NOT be through Active.com for session 2.
A few reminders for session 2:
1. Class size will be limited so there will BE NO DROP-INS.
2. Classes are sold by the week only - we are unable to allow any makeups for missed classes unless space allows. The cost of the lesson will be refunded in case of cancellation due to rain. There will be no rain make-ups.
3. Classes will run Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.
4. Class times are slightly adjusted to make room for all classes.
5. Additional information about social distancing procedures and sanitation (including information about entering and exiting the club for camp) will be provided before camps begin, and will be monitored by Dara Keidan and the JT committee.

Red Ball $30/week
Orange ball $60/week
Green Ball $60/week
JV/Yellow Ball $70/wk
High School JV $100/wk (including $20 scrimmage fee)
Middle School and High School Varsity $100/week (including $20 scrimmage fee)
High School Junior Varsity and Varsity will play scrimmages on Fridays from 12:30-3. The scrimmages will be held at RFTC or local courts.

If your child has never played before or if you have any questions about our camps, feel free to email Dara Keidan (Darak@tenandfit.com) for more information on classes or check the RFTC website under junior tennis for information on our levels.
Our Head Pro John Morlidge will make all placements (both level and days - Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs) so that we can balance all of our groups. All camp charges in session 2 will be to your RFTC club account. Non-members can bring a check payable to The River Forest Tennis Club. Email Amy now so we can start to understand our numbers for session 2.

|USTA Red Ball shotmakers||No prior experience||4-8 yrs||A great way to introduce young children to the fun of tennis. Kids will learn eye-hand coordination, footwork, basic shots. Red foam balls and a smaller court will be used. Certificate awarded at the end of the session.||45 min class 2 x per week|
|USTA Orange Ball Excellence||Beginner||7-10 yrs||Kids will begin to learn to hit with each other through a series of progressive activities and games. The focus of this group is to keep the atmosphere fun and engaging, while having friendly team competitions. Appropriate rackets, orange balls and court size will help in development. Coach evaluation at the end of each session. USTA match play opportunities will be available with other local clubs.||75 min class 2 x per week|
|USTA Green Ball Super Excellence||Advanced beginner to intermediate||9-12 yrs||Emphasis placed on rallying back and forth with some consistency with a feed. Kids will learn positions on the court and a variety of shots. Players should have proper grips. Green dot balls will help in development. Coach evaluation at the end of each session. USTA match play opportunities will be available with other local clubs.||75 min class 2 x per week|
|Yellow Ball 1||Advanced beginner to intermediate||10-16||Same as above, but with regulation yellow balls. Meant for older players who are newer to tennis, or those passing through green dot but not yet ready for Junior Varsity group. USTA Match play opportunities will be available with other local clubs.||75 min class 2 x per week|
|Junior Varsity||Intermediate||11-16 yrs||Players should have proper grips, a variety of shots and be able to rally with pace and consistency. Emphasis will be placed on improving consistency, emphasizing stroke production, form and control. This class will provide opportunities for point play, competitive drills, game strategies and athletic development.||90 min class 2 x per week|
|High Performance/ Varsity||Advanced||13-18 yrs or ability based||Advanced players tournament program - Training for tournament play emphasizing stroke production, control, technique and athletic development. This class will emphasize point play, competitive drills and advanced game strategies and tactics.||105 min. class 2 x per week|
