Pool Status
Update - May 28th
Let’s get right to it. We found our leak. I have instructed my secretary to erase the balance of my tapes. The plumbers were here at the club and after a pressure test located the leak beneath the pool. This is actually a good location. They will have to cut out a 4’ by 12’ section of the pool in order to replace the defective pipe. It could have been worse. At least we didn’t have to cut through the concrete deck. The plumbing work should be completed by this Friday. We hope to have the opening welded back in place by Monday the 2nd. Refilling the pool and balancing the chemicals should be completed in time so the pool will be available by Friday the 6th of June. D-Day.
As of May 25, 2008 the Main Pool is CLOSED pending repairs.
Excerpt from Kim’s Note
Initially we thought we could fill the pool and have it ready for this weekend and just add water as the year progressed. If you calculate the daily loss of water it could be about 15,000 gallons.

My sincere hope is that clearing this up now, suffering the inconvenience before school is out, is the prudent course of action. Keeping up with a leak by adding water daily could work for awhile but may lead to an interruption in the middle of the summer. You will receive an email update again Tuesday. In the meantime have a great weekend.
